Beef & Cabbage Skillet

Serves: 3

Serving size: ~1½ cups

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef (80/20 or 85/15)

1 medium green cabbage, sliced

1–2 tbsp butter or tallow

Salt, pepper, garlic (to taste)

If you like any dried herbs, add them as well. I love herbs de Provence or just thyme and rosemary.

Instructions:

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add butter or tallow.
  2. Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  3. Add sliced cabbage and garlic, stir well, and reduce heat to medium.
  4. Cover and cook 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender.
  5. Adjust seasoning and serve.
